Friends, family and readers...it's been a long time!
I haven't written a blog in over 2
weeks...and it is definitely time for me to return!
I think I wrote several weeks ago that I
landed a new job and returned to full time work in North Hollywood. On
top of the new job.... I decided to return to school and finish my degree!
Well... returning to work after being off
of work for 2 months has not been easy. And after being out of studying
and school for over 8 years...WOW...it is definitely tough getting back into it
for sure!!
Remember - I had that injury to my right
leg I wrote about. Well... the doctor diagnosed it as a muscle strain down
the the sciatic nerve and to not work out for 3-4 weeks! KILLER pain - to
which I was prescribed Vicodin, Ibuprofen 800 milligrams and a muscle relaxer.
Great meds...which I was worried about taking. I realized that I
must have an allergic reaction to Vicodin - it makes me throw-up. :(
The muscle relaxer didn't seem to do anything - the only one that had
some punch and gave me relief was the Ibuprofen. I was told to
"eat" when taking the meds - and you know what happens when a fat
girl gets permission to eat....she eats! I Well... this was
certainly not the best thing to take to a new job - but is has joined me the
first 2 weeks of employment. It is getting better and I finally have been
able to do some workouts, slowly but surely.
Work. Week 1 interesting....and it
continues to be interesting on the completion of week 2. lol The
great news is that there is lots of opportunity! I just don't know if it
will happen quick enough for the company. We will see and time will tell.
Stats - well. The good part is that this
weekend I got back to working out - not so good part in all of this is that I
gained 10-12 lbs in the past 2+ weeks, because I didn't do ANY workouts AND I
was advised to "eat" with my meds and I took the advice. I have
to remember moderation and control. The good news is that I got it back under
control and am back down to 226.4 as of today. It is still higher than
where I was, but better than 12 lbs up!
I know the plan is to get my schedule
under control so that I can add my workouts in and go back to healthier eating
habits.
So.....let's go Carm!!! Let's kick
butt and get back on track!!
Hoo Rah!!!!
Carm
