After the gym, I headed out to Rancho Cucamonga to visit my high school classmate, Cassie. I hadn't seen her since our high school reunion last year and quite honestly she has been on my mind for months.... so I called and arranged a girls day out - Fun in the Sun day!!
We started off at Nordstrom Rak in Ontario. I had never been to the store in Ontario, but am a .... uhhh...frequent shopper of Nordstrom Rak! I love that store!! They have a great selection of shoes in my size... 12 Women's and I usually check out the men's size 17 for my 13 year old son...Parker. :)
Anyway... we found a great pair of shoes for Cassie, her first heels in a long while and we found a pair for me too! We also tried on dresses and looked at the purses. But...we left with only the shoes!!
Then we went to Panera for lunch. I ate the chickens salad, 300 calories, and a small bowl of turkey chili, 260 calories and a water. Total calorie count for lunch 560. Cassie enjoyed a yummy apple salad, tomato bisque soup, a French roll and a YUMMY Carrot Cake cupcake for dessert. We both enjoyed our lunches VERY MUCH!!
After Panera - we both wanted to try on wedding/bridesmaid dresses...so we went into the bridal shop caddie corner to the restaurant. We walked into a busy store and began looking through the store. One of the attendants asked which of us were getting married, to which Cassie replied, "we both are!." The attendant then asked what dates? To which Cassie replied, "one day!" with the biggest smile. To that the attendant was not happy and stated we could not try any dresses on, as we insisted she said she would ask the Manager. The manager was MUCH nicer and asked if we could come back in a little bit as she didn't have any available "stylists." We said sure - and then went to get our nails done!!
Mani/Pedi's called "fit for a Queen." It was very yummy and our hands and nails looked gorgeous after and were very relaxed with the help of our massage chairs!
We walked back to the bridal store and I tried on a bridesmaid dress (always the bride, but never a bridesmaid - private joke) it was gorgeous, but not something I would every wear! Unless as a bridesmaid in Cassie's wedding! Cassie decided not to try on wedding dresses until she was closer to that time. :)
We had a great day and on our way back, I remembered that Cassie had mentioned something about a nose ring today. I asked her if she still wanted to do that, to which she said "ABSOLUTELY!' So we did!! We went to Empire Tattoo in Fontana and London was our piercer for the day!!
Cassie got a new nose ring and I got 3 ear piercings. My ear piercings are a symbol and a reminder of how much I love my 3 kidlets!! Victoria, Celia and Parker... I love them sooo much!!
Enjoy the pics - we had a blast! Thank you Cassie!!!
